CONTESTS! CONTESTS! CONTESTS!

Well, okay, there are only five contests for this conference, but they’re fun.
 

Contest Number One: OPENING PARAGRAPH

After you’ve registered for the conference, send us your opening paragraph to your manuscript – no more than 70 words. Our judges will decide on the top fifteen and then at OPEN MIKE #1 we’ll have the finalists read them. Winners will be announced on Sunday.

Contest Number Two: POETRY, POETRY, POETRY
After you’ve registered for the conference, send us your poems –no more than two minutes per poet. Our poetic judges will decide on the top fifteen and then at OPEN MIKE #2 the finalists will read their work. Winners will be announced on Sunday.

Contest Number Three: THE MASTERFUL SHORT STORY

After you’ve registered for the conference, submit a short story –no more than a thousand words. Our mavens of story will judge and announce the winners on Sunday.

Contest Number Four: THE BEST OPENING LINE

Submit your opening line after you register. Our masters of editing will decide  on the top five.

Contest Number Five: DESCRIPTION OF WINE AND DESSERT

We are having a reception after dinner on Saturday and we will be having wine tasting and a cornucopia of desserts. Give us your best description of these delectable delights in under 500 words.
